Cohere North adds PitchBook connector for licensed customers with SSO

The connector launches October 26 for North customers with an active PitchBook licence and single sign‑on. Admins enable it, while existing data entitlements remain in place, Cohere says.

An existing PitchBook licence is part of access

Cohere has [launched a PitchBook Data Premium Connector in North](https://cohere.com/blog/pitchbook‑integration), with availability starting October 26. Access requires a North customer account, an active PitchBook licence and single sign‑on enabled. An administrator must enable the connector in the organisation’s connector settings. The announcement describes a bring‑your‑own‑licence integration. It gives eligible teams a route to use their PitchBook data within North, rather than announcing free or unrestricted access to PitchBook’s private‑market information.

Combine market research with internal documents

[Cohere describes](https://cohere.com/blog/pitchbook‑integration) drawing on PitchBook information about companies, deals, funds, investors and market benchmarks alongside an organisation’s internal knowledge. Its examples include researching transactions and drafting memos that combine PitchBook financials with internal strategy documents. Another proposed use is preparing a sourced executive briefing in North’s document mode. For a corporate‑development or research team, the change is the ability to work with an external licensed source and internal material in the same AI workflow. These are Cohere’s stated use cases; the announcement is not a test of the resulting research or drafts.

Entitlements and citations remain part of review

Cohere says the connector [respects existing entitlements and permissions](https://cohere.com/blog/pitchbook‑integration) across both PitchBook and North. The connection therefore does not establish that every employee gains access to every PitchBook dataset. The company also says every figure North retrieves from PitchBook comes with a citation for human verification. A citation supplies a route back to supporting material; reviewers still need to check what it supports before using an AI‑produced memo or briefing. The post does not specify a new connector price or a complete field‑by‑field coverage list. It directs prospective users to their Cohere account team and people without a PitchBook licence to PitchBook. *Cohere co‑founder and CEO Aidan Gomez at Collision in Toronto on June 29, 2023.
