Kinetiq’s MCP preview keeps animation edits behind an approval step

The October 30 release connects an AI app to a local editor; preparing a change or export does not finish it.

Start with a local editor

Thirdrez’s [Kinetiq 2.1 changelog](https://thirdrez.com/changelog) specifies Node.js 24 or later, an AI app supporting local MCP STDIO, and an editor already running at an HTTP 127.0.0.1 address. The connector does not install the editor or connect to its hosted HTTPS version.

Preparation is not completion

The assistant can inspect the scene and prepare supported changes. Users must [review and apply or cancel](https://thirdrez.com/changelog) each proposed edit in Kinetiq; asking in chat is not approval. Export has another handoff: review settings, prepare the file, then select Download. A prepared export is not yet saved to disk. Local connection also does not mean all context stays local: Thirdrez says the AI app may send context to its provider.
