Academic Help - AI Essay Writer vs EssayGrader
Side-by-side comparison · Updated October 2026
| Description | The Free AI Essay Writer by AHelp is a robust tool designed to assist students and professionals in generating high-quality essays. Whether you're overwhelmed with other tasks or need a starting point for your research, this tool can help streamline the writing process. Featuring capabilities like reputable source finding, essay generation, and MLA/APA citation integration, it ensures your papers are well-researched and properly formatted. Additionally, it's user-friendly and available at no cost, making it a valuable resource for those needing quick, credible, and structured essays. | EssayGrader is a browser-based assessment assistant for teachers reviewing student writing. Educators can choose or upload a rubric, import assignments, review suggested scores and feedback, and edit the results before sharing them. The current service includes standards-aligned rubrics, handwritten essay processing, revision comparisons and classroom writing insights. Teacher review remains essential: a suggested score or detection flag is not a final educational judgment. The current pricing table lists a free Basic plan with 50 essays graded and 50 essays summarized per month, with a 1,000-word limit per essay. The homepage separately advertises 100 essays free without specifying a recurring allowance. Use the plan table's 50-per-month limit for planning and confirm any introductory allocation in the account; do not assume the homepage offer means 100 essays every month. The current pricing table no longer lists a Lite tier. Pro costs $19.99 per month with monthly billing, or an advertised $14.99 per month when annual billing is selected. It includes 350 essays per month, a 3,500-word limit per essay, AI-writing and plagiarism checks for 350 essays, and native Google Classroom, Canvas and Schoology integrations. Premium costs $49.99 monthly or an advertised $34.99 per month with annual billing, with 800 essays per month and an 8,000-word limit. The calculated annual equivalents are $179.88 for Pro and $419.88 for Premium; the terms specify USD and exclude applicable taxes. Confirm the final checkout amount and billing period. The School District / Higher-Ed option is quoted for 25 or more users. It offers a mix of Pro and Premium licenses, administration, teacher and administrator training, institutional analytics and data-agreement support. This is not an unlimited individual plan. Match the license mix to the number and length of assignments each educator handles. For a useful evaluation, use permitted sample work, a clear rubric and a small set of essays you have already assessed. Check suggested scores against the relevant criteria, verify that comments accurately describe the text, and edit feedback for the student's needs. For handwritten work, inspect the transcription before judging the feedback. Compare revision drafts to see whether the advice helps identify specific improvements. Confirm LMS access on the chosen plan before depending on automatic import and return of grades. The official FAQ states that student submissions are not used to train AI models. Its privacy policy and terms require users to remove or anonymize student and minor identifiers, including metadata, before uploading work. They also describe third-party processing, so a no-training statement does not mean no provider ever processes the data. The April 2026 privacy policy describes deletion within 60 days of an account-deletion request, subject to legal or contractual exceptions; the older terms also mention storage for up to 180 days after termination. Resolve the applicable retention commitments with the provider before an institutional rollout. Tech Nest Ventures Inc. is the service provider named in EssayGrader's terms and privacy policy. Compare CoGrader for another teacher-facing rubric and feedback workflow, using the same assignment sample and review criteria. EssayGrader's terms make subscriptions recurring and generally do not promise refunds; check cancellation and institutional notice requirements before purchasing. |
