Chat Data broadens Drive imports
Retraining is not a retirement receipt.
The November 3 change
Chat Data’s [November 3 update](https://www.chat‑data.com/changelog/google‑drive‑word‑pdf‑shared‑files) adds Word and PDF imports, files shared with you, and shared‑drive browsing. This expands an existing import‑and‑train workflow.
Retirement receipt
Suppose a Drive owner retires a handbook, then a scheduled retrain completes. That completion is not a retirement receipt. The [training guide](https://cookbook.chat‑data.com/docs/train‑with‑your‑data) says missing Drive originals leave the last imported version; check the agent’s source list and manually remove the handbook before closing its knowledge‑retirement task.
If someone else owns Drive cleanup, assign the Chat Data source removal separately. Accepting that person’s deletion or a successful refresh would leave the documented imported‑copy question unresolved. Retraining updates previously imported files; it does not establish that an absent original was purged.
The undated guide still lists Docs and Sheets; the November 3 release expands formats without announcing new deletion behavior. This is documented analysis, not a test or a guarantee about logs, backups or permission changes.
