McGraw Hill plans Copilot access to licensed course materials

The planned education plugin pairs institutional content licences with enterprise Copilot access; a limited beta is due in early 2027.

Two access requirements

McGraw Hill’s [October 29 announcement](https://investors.mheducation.com/news/news‑details/2026/McGraw‑Hill‑Announces‑Agentic‑AI‑Education‑Plugin‑for‑Microsoft‑Copilot/default.aspx) describes access for educators and students at its higher education and school district customers. They would use enterprise Microsoft 365 Copilot with licensed course materials. Copilot access alone should not be read as permission to use every McGraw Hill title. For lesson planning, the relevant boundary is the licensed course material.

What the beta would do

The plugin would let users summarize, translate and adapt that content into study aids, lesson plans and other course resources, using Model Context Protocol. McGraw Hill plans a limited beta in early 2027. The announcement does not establish general availability or a launch date for all customers.
