Microsoft’s AI council playbook separates priorities from delivery
The October 29 resource links process improvement to delivery ownership and measurement before launch.
Before automation
Microsoft Digital’s [October 29 playbook](https://www.microsoft.com/insidetrack/blog/deploying‑ai‑with‑employee‑councils‑an‑it‑playbook‑from‑microsoft/) puts workflow improvement ahead of automation. Its strategy council chooses priorities; product owners deliver. Teams complete an initial assessment before starting work, with deeper release assessment when the scenario requires it.
Measure the handoff
Before launch, projects need a baseline, telemetry and measurement ownership. The guide also asks where saved capacity is reinvested. For a support team, a faster summary would not alone establish a smaller backlog: that outcome needs its own measure.
