AI Chatbots Accused of Echoing Russian Propaganda on Ukraine War
AI chatbots, such as Google Bard, Bing Chat, and Perplexity AI, are under scrutiny for potentially spreading Russian propaganda by providing incomplete or inaccurate information about the war in Ukraine. A study showed that 27-44% of their responses failed to meet factual accuracy standards, raising concerns about the role of randomness in Large Language Models (LLMs) and the potential for AI systems to inadvertently amplify disinformation.
