Turn a project brief into a hiring workflow in the AI assistant you already use. Upwork MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and other compatible agents to your Upwork account, so you can search for freelance talent, prepare a project post and review proposals in the same conversation. Start with a concrete need: a developer to test an app, a designer to refine a product, or a marketer to run a campaign. Search by skills, rate and location, review the available profiles, and draft outreach or invitations. As the project progresses, ask for a summary of unread messages, pending offers and contract updates, or check milestones and time reports. Freelancers can use the same connector to find suitable projects, prepare proposals and keep track of their work. You remain responsible for the decisions. Write actions are drafted for your confirmation, and binding offers, contract acceptance and financial actions finish on upwork.com. The MCP connection uses OAuth 2.1 and can be removed from your Upwork account settings. The connector is free with an Upwork account. Standard Upwork fees still apply, and freelancers use Connects when submitting proposals. Your chosen AI assistant may have its own plan or administrator requirements for connectors.
