Church Presenter rebuilds caption styling
Display settings do not supply speech.
Output profiles
Church Presenter’s [November 1 update](https://www.churchpresenter.org/blog/november‑2026‑updates/) styles captions through named output profiles. Two outputs sharing a profile change together; linked profiles inherit settings but can override others. Captions now offer roll‑up, pop‑on or ticker presentation, with reading‑speed limits and silence fading. Interface zoom affects only the operator UI. Caption overlays remain opt‑in.
If captions reach both rooms but the overflow font is wrong, change a linked profile’s override; changing their shared profile changes both. Interface zoom fixes neither audience view.

The [July guide](https://www.churchpresenter.org/blog/how‑to‑set‑up‑live‑captions‑and‑translation‑in‑church‑presenter) describes STT as a client for a networked Whisper server, not microphone capture. Enable the hidden STT tab, connect its server URL, then use Go Live and select STT for the intended output in Settings → Projection. Translation runs server‑side.
Diagnostic proposal, not a tested setup: if transcription arrives without translated text, check server‑side translation before profile appearance. Incoming transcription proves neither translated input nor projection routing. If both languages reach STT but only one appears on a screen, inspect the STT display mode and that output’s assignment. Font changes cannot create missing translated input. Rehearse on a spare output.
Conceptual routing, not observed.
