MSCHE’s $100,000 grant backs an AIHub workforce-alignment pilot

Institutions will connect dashboard data to workforce testing; participation and future reports remain distinct from proven outcomes.

What the grant supports

[MSCHE’s November 2 announcement](https://www.msche.org/2026/11/02/msche‑accelerates‑workforce‑aihub‑pilot‑with‑lumina‑foundation‑support/) says a $100,000 Lumina Foundation grant supports its Workforce Trust AIHub initiative, a pilot planned for up to 10 institutions in partnership with CUNY and SUNY. Institutions will connect data from Commission dashboards within the National Accreditation Commission’s AIHub to test program alignment with workforce needs. The announcement describes alignment testing, not AI making accreditation decisions.

Participation and readout

[Four SUNY colleges have joined](https://www.msche.org/2026/11/02/msche‑accelerates‑workforce‑aihub‑pilot‑with‑lumina‑foundation‑support/): Mohawk Valley, Columbia‑Greene, Corning and Dutchess. The announcement names these participants within a planned cohort of up to 10. A November 10 partner convening and a 2027 report are planned to share experience with the platform. Funding and pilot participation do not themselves demonstrate better employment or program‑quality outcomes.
